Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent and 48 units of college level coursework or associate's degree or verification of meeting NCLB requirements.
- Ability to read, write and speak at a level sufficient to fulfill the assigned duties.
- Ability to communicate with and effectively supervise students.
- Ability to accept directions and carry out oral and written instructions.
- Ability to maintain a cooperative working relationship with others.
Brief Description of Position:
- Responsible for assisting in preparing and supervising pupil work areas.
- Responsible for assisting individual or small groups with assigned activities.
- Responsible for assisting in checking papers and preparing instructional materials.
- Responsible for performing such other related duties and clerical work as may be assigned by the principal.
- Enforces the school rules concerning proper behavior of students.
- Maintains a firm but respectful and courteous attitude toward students.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
