Multiple openings are available, and placements are tailored based on your experience and your commuting preferences—including Mild/Moderate needs, and age groups ranging from Elementary to Secondary.
Qualifications & Desired Background:
Experience working as a paraprofessional in a school environment Understanding of, or willingness to learn about, Mild/Moderate special education needs Ability to collaborate with teachers, specialists, and school staff Effective communication skills with children, colleagues, and families Reliability and commitment to a full school year High school diploma or equivalent (some assignments may require additional certifications)
Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with academic and behavioral needs Assist classroom teachers with instructional activities, accommodations, and supervision Implement behavior plans and support individualized education plans (IEPs) as directed Help foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment Document student progress and communicate regularly with lead teachers and school staff Adapt to assignments in elementary or secondary settings, based on your skills and interests
