$20.00 - $25.00 per hour Job description: Elliott Institute is a small non-public school located near the foothills in La Crescenta. We prioritize individualized attention with small class sizes and offer on-site Behavior and Speech services, supported by a dedicated team of educators. Summary We are seeking a Special Education Classroom Aide to join our team. This role is vital in supporting our mission to provide personalized educational experiences for students with diverse needs, ensuring they receive the attention and resources necessary for their growth. Responsibilities Assist teachers in implementing educational programs tailored to individual student needs. Support students with developmental disabilities in their daily activities. Collaborate with Speech Therapists and Behaviorists to enhance student learning outcomes. Help manage classroom behavior and foster a positive learning environment. Provide support during lessons. •Training opportunities provided for certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). Qualifications High School Diploma (bachelor's degree preferred.) Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment. Passion for supporting the educational growth of children. ABA experience.
