Overview Club Xcite is hiring Instructional Assistants (IAs) to support students in school-based settings throughout La Mesa, Lemon Grove, and Spring Valley, CA . We are seeking compassionate, reliable professionals with experience working with children in educational, special education, behavioral support, or classroom environments..

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, school hours (up to 29 hours/week, school calendar)

Location:

School sites throughout La Mesa, Lemon Grove, and Spring Valley, CA Responsibilities Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and instructional activities tailored to individual student needs Support literacy education by helping students with reading, writing, and comprehension Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management strategies Work with students one-on-one or in small groups to reinforce classroom concepts Collaborate with teachers to assess student progress and adjust instructional methods Support special education initiatives for students requiring additional assistance Assist students with personal care needs, including toileting, hygiene support, and other activities of daily living as required Perform diaper changing and related personal care tasks in accordance with school policies, student care plans, and health and safety guidelines Requirements Experience working with students or children with special needs , including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, or other learning differences preferred High school diploma or equivalent required Comfortable providing toileting assistance and personal care support when required Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional in challenging situations Reliable, punctual, and committed to supporting student growth and independence Passion for working with children and helping students reach their full potential Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and move throughout the school day Ability to assist students during classroom activities, transitions, and recreational periods May occasionally assist with lifting, positioning, or mobility support for students as required by assignment up to 50 pounds.
