The ideal candidate will support teachers in delivering high-quality instruction to students with diverse learning needs. This role is essential to creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment that supports the academic and social development of all students. Responsibilities Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and instructional activities tailored to individual student needs. Support students with special education requirements, including those with IEPs, by providing personalized assistance. Facilitate small group or one-on-one instruction for students, focusing on skill development and academic progress. Help create and adapt curriculum materials to meet the diverse needs of learners, including those in preschool settings. Monitor student behavior and engagement, providing positive reinforcement and guidance as needed. Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly. Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom environment conducive to learning. Participate in training sessions, workshops, and meetings to enhance skills related to early childhood education and special education. Qualifications Experience working with students in an educational setting is preferred. Knowledge of IEP processes and experience supporting students with developmental disabilities or autism is highly desirable. Familiarity with special education practices and curriculum development strategies. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed academically and socially. Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and needs.
