A Teacher Assistant assists classroom teachers by providing extra individual attention and instruction to students. Helps teachers with recordkeeping, preparation for lessons and activities and supervising students. May work with special education students, or work in a school library or computer lab; may be called teacher aide or paraprofessional.

Redwood High School in Larkspur $20/hour MarinChess is looking for enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support our Friday Night Chess Camp for K-8 students in Marin County. We especially welcome college students who enjoy working with children in a fun, camp-style environment. No prior teaching experience is required. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside our Lead Instructors to help supervise students, support activities, and ensure a safe, engaging, and well-organized camp experience. The camp runs every Friday in 5-week sessions, and Teaching Assistants should be available for multiple sessions, with opportunities for long-term involvement.
Who We're Looking For:
Enjoys working with K-8 students in a camp or after-school setting Positive, patient, and dependable attitude Strong communication and teamwork skills Comfortable supervising groups of children Reliable transportation to the camp location in Larkspur Experience working with children in groups (camps, tutoring, mentoring, or childcare is a plus)
Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
