Job Description

Step into a rewarding role supporting students in an after-school setting as an ASL Paraprofessional. This contract position is ideal for individuals passionate about education and skilled in American Sign Language. Working across various sites, youll be instrumental in creating an inclusive and engaging environment for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Key Qualifications:
Proficiency in American Sign Language required Experience as a paraprofessional in school settings preferred EIPA certification not required Ability to travel between multiple locations if needed Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine interest in supporting student learning Dependable and punctual, especially for afternoon and early evening hours
Responsibilities:
Provide direct support to students who use sign language for communication Assist lead teachers and staff with classroom activities and after-school programming Facilitate communication between students, educators, and peers Encourage student participation and foster a positive learning atmosphere Support individual needs, adapting assistance as necessary to promote student engagement Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all school policies Collaborate with staff across various sites to ensure continuity of support
Position Details:
Daily schedule from 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM 20 to 24 hours per week Assignments span multiple sites This is a unique opportunity to use your ASL skills to support students growth and success outside regular school hours.
