As a Paraprofessional you will play an important role in supporting incarcerated adolescents with their academic and personal growth. This is meaningful work for individuals who are passionate about helping youth heal, grow, and reach their full potential.

Requirements:
Comfortable working in a juvenile court school setting with students ages 12-19 years of age who have behavior challenges High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or degree in education, psychology, or related field preferred. 6 months of experience working with youth in educational settings is preferred. Ability to remain calm, patient, and empathetic in a structured facility environment. Passionate about working with youth impacted by trauma and juvenile justice involvement Interested in pursuing a career in education, social work, counseling, juvenile justice, or related fields Strong communication and collaboration skills. Reliable transportation.
Responsibilities:
Assist classroom teachers with instruction, supervision, and daily classroom activities. Staff may support multiple students or classrooms due to frequent student movement Provide one-on-one or small-group academic support to students. Foster a safe, respectful, and supportive classroom environment. Encourage student engagement, participation, and positive behavior. Support students' emotional and social development with compassion and patience. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to facility policies and procedures.
