Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar school support capacity preferred Ability to provide instructional and behavioral assistance to students with diverse needs Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, staff, and parents Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude are essential Ability to follow direction and take initiative when needed Must meet any applicable state or local requirements for school paraprofessionals

Key Responsibilities:

Assist classroom teachers in implementing lesson plans and educational activities Provide individual or small group support to reinforce learning concepts Help maintain a safe, orderly, and supportive classroom environment Support students with special needs or learning differences according to their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Monitor student progress and report observations to educators Foster student independence and encourage participation in all aspects of the school day
