Job Description

Support students with disabilities by assisting a certificated teacher with instruction, classroom activities, and IEP goal progress. Provide physical and health-related support as trained, and help create an inclusive, engaging learning environment. This position is distinguished from other student support roles in that, in addition to providing instructional support to students with disabilities under the guidance of a certificated teacher, employees in these positions are primarily responsible for attendant physical duties to enable students with disabilities to have equal educational opportunities, assisting with basic health needs of students with disabilities, as trained, and assisting the classroom teacher in creating with setting up and maintaining engaging academic environments.

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent, and one of the following: AA degree or higher 48+ college units Passing CBEST, ParaPro, or CODESP First Aid & CPR certification Willingness to complete 15+ hours of annual training Experience with children and students with disabilities preferred CA Driver's License (if applicable)
