Seeking School Aide for Elementary student (P/T)

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate School Aide to support our elementary aged child during the school day. The ideal candidate will assist with classroom activities, assist with transitions, and provide gentle guidance to promote independence, confidence and foster a positive learning environment along with the school teacher. Our hope is to find someone who will not only assist academically, but also help our child feel safe, understood and confident in the classroom. It is an ideal role for someone who is passionate about early childhood education, special education, and working with children with diverse needs. The School Aide will collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure our child is supported. Ultimately, this role is about encouragement, gentle guidance, and being a steady, supportive presence throughout the day. Responsibilities Provide one-on-one support during classroom activities Provide one-on-one assistance to the student during instructional activities, ensuring engagement and understanding. Help with classroom routines, transitions, and activities to facilitate smooth daily operations. Encourage positive social interactions with peers Support emotional regulation as needed with patience and calmness Communicate effectively with teachers, therapists, and parents regarding daily progress Skills Prior experience with neurodivergent children in any of the following settings (school, therapy, personal) preferred.

Pay:

$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
