This is a full-time floater position supporting our toddler and transitional primary classrooms. The Aide will primarily work with children approximately 18 months to 4 years old , moving between classrooms as needed throughout the day and helping provide consistent, high-quality care and support. The Aide is a respected and integral member of our teaching team. This position is a good fit for someone who enjoys working with different age groups, is flexible, notices what needs to be done, and is comfortable jumping in wherever support is needed. Job Details:
Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. , including a 30-minute lunch break. Support toddler and transitional primary classrooms throughout the day. Participate in all aspects of the program, including: Guiding children through classroom and creative activities; Supporting outdoor play and playground activities; Using positive and respectful discipline; Assisting with snacks and meals; Toileting and diapering; Supporting classroom transitions and routines; and Cleaning, organizing, and preparing the classroom environment for upcoming activities and the next school day.
Qualifications:
6+ ECE units, including 3 Infant/Toddler ECE units, preferred. Two years of experience working with young children in a preschool, childcare, or babysitting setting preferred. Experience working with toddlers, including toileting and potty-training support, is a major plus. Montessori experience or a genuine interest in Montessori and emergent curriculum approaches to early childhood education is a plus. Must be gentle, kind, patient, and respectful of children. Must be comfortable and confident working with young children and using positive guidance techniques. Must be dependable and understand the importance of showing up consistently for children and coworkers. Must work well collaboratively with lead teachers and other staff. Must be open to training, feedback, and learning the routines and expectations of different classrooms. Must communicate constructively and professionally with coworkers. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Must meet all health and background-clearance requirements applicable to licensed childcare programs, including criminal record clearance, health screening, and TB documentation. MMR, Tdap, and annual influenza vaccination requirements apply as required by law and licensing regulations. Current Pediatric First Aid/CPR certification is a plus.
