Job Description
Description We are looking for a dependable Program Aide (Overnight) to support front desk operations and client services for a nonprofit housing environment in Redwood City, California. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who is calm under pressure, service-minded, and comfortable handling overnight or weekend facility support tasks. In this role, you will welcome visitors, assist residents with daily needs, maintain accurate records, and help ensure the site remains safe, organized, and responsive. The shifts are Friday 11:30pm - 7:30am and Saturday 11:30pm - 7:30am. This is a 16 hour work week.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome visitors, answer the front desk, and provide courteous assistance to residents, guests, and service providers.
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail, packages, food deliveries, and donated items to the appropriate areas.
- Monitor client movement by checking individuals in and out and helping maintain accurate daily activity records.
- Enter information into tracking systems and update logs with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Support site coverage during staff breaks and meal periods to ensure uninterrupted front desk and facility operations.
- Assist residents with approved medication access and help restock shared living or day room supplies as needed.
- Complete routine walkthroughs of the interior and exterior of the facility and report concerns promptly.
- Help uphold site policies by addressing rule violations appropriately and preparing written notices when required. Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in administrative support, reception, customer service, or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced, service-oriented setting.
- Careful attention to detail and accuracy when handling records, logs, and data entry tasks.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and basic computer skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members while also handling responsibilities independently.
- Comfortable performing front desk duties, facility monitoring, and light operational support tasks.
- Experience with pick and pack or handling incoming items is helpful.
