Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a classroom Paraeducator within a Resource Specialized Program. This full-time, contract role offers the unique opportunity to work with both pre-kindergarten and elementary aged students, providing essential academic and behavioral support as part of a collaborative team. Starting as soon as possible and continuing through early June 2027, you'll be based at a welcoming campus in Sacramento, assisting with both general classroom activities and program-specific pull-out services.
Key Qualifications:
Prior experience as a paraprofessional, particularly within elementary settings or working with young children, is strongly preferred Experience supporting students in a special education or resource program environment is desirable Reliable, flexible, and eager to collaborate with teachers and staff Demonstrates patience, compassion, and a student-centered approach to education Able to assist with classroom management, small group instruction, and reinforcement of individualized education plans
Key Responsibilities:
Support the lead teacher by implementing lesson plans and classroom routines Provide instructional, behavioral, and logistical support to students within the Resource Specialized Program Assist with classroom management, student engagement, and activities as assigned Help facilitate small group instruction and individual pull-outs Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment Track student progress and provide feedback to the instructional team as needed This is a wonderful opportunity to build your experience in education, support a diverse group of students, and gain valuable skills in the field.
