• Infant/Toddler Teacher Aide Pacific Beach Presbyterian Church Preschool is expanding!

We are adding a second infant/toddler classroom to our program. While we await licensing for our newly remodeled classroom, we are looking for an in-house substitute to support our current classrooms. We are a Christian preschool seeking a full-time Infant/Toddler Teacher Aide , with the opportunity for flexible substitute hours as well. We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with children ages 6 weeks to 2 years and who believes children learn best in a loving, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment. Our infant/toddler center maintains a 1:3 teacher-to-child ratio . We value applicants who have experience working with infants and toddlers, as this provides a strong foundation for understanding and responding to the needs of the children in our care. We are looking for someone who enjoys collaborating with others and is committed to continued professional growth in early childhood education. • 8 days 10 paid personal days Paid sick leave Essential Duties and Responsibilities Ensure the safety and supervision of children at all times Comply with all Community Care Licensing regulations Communicate positively and professionally with families Record and monitor children's daily activities and development Respect and respond to each child's individual needs, interests, abilities, talents, and pace of learning Recognize and respect each child's individual cultural and socioeconomic background Be physically able to sit on the floor, kneel, crouch, and move as needed to assist children Provide a warm, enthusiastic, patient, and nurturing presence Share equally in classroom housekeeping responsibilities after children have departed or are under the supervision of another teacher Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to work collaboratively with others in a variety of circumstances Participate in recommended training programs, conferences, courses, and other professional development opportunities Participate in school-sponsored events, including the Christmas Program, Open House, Harvest Festival, and other events Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications Required:

Minimum of 12 ECE units , including 3 units in an infant/toddler course

Preferred:

Experience working in a licensed preschool or early childhood education center Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field Previous experience working with infants and toddlers Requirements Upon Hire Employees must provide/complete the following as required for employment in a licensed child care facility: Fingerprint/background clearance Proof of required immunizations Completion of Mandated Reporter training (free online training available) Cleared TB test

Schedule Teacher Aide:

Monday-Friday, either: 8:30 a.m

• 4:45 p.m. , or 8:15 a.m
• 1:15 p.

Substitute:

Flexible hours, based on classroom needs and availability.

Job Type:

20-40 hours per week

Pay:

$22.00
