JOB TITLE

Classroom Paraprofessional (TK

• 1st Grade)

STATUS:

Part-Time, Up to 22.5 hours/wk,

REPORTS TO:

Curriculum Coordinator SITE:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist classroom teacher as directed Monitor & supervise students indoors and outdoors Conduct student observations as needed Support education program through-out the school day Attend educational field trips as needed Implement classroom procedures Participate in all school emergency and safety plans Support all students in all learning activities

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or GED 48 semester college units/60 quarter college units OR pass a pre-employment test with 70% or better. Current college enrollment, if bachelors not yet earned Proficient in reading, writing, and math

DESIRABLE SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

Bilingual:

English/Spanish Degree in Education or related field Experience working in a primary classroom setting Experience with small group presentations Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills Experience and commitment to working collaboratively with staff, parents, and community
