ASES Program Paraprofessional (Part-Time)

Support classroom management by assisting teachers with daily activities and maintaining a structured environment Engage children in educational games, tutoring sessions, arts and crafts, sports, and recreational activities to promote learning and social skills Implement behavior management strategies to encourage positive conduct and resolve conflicts effectively Provide supervision during homework time, snack breaks, outdoor play, and special events to ensure safety at all times Assist with early childhood education initiatives, including age-appropriate instruction and developmental assessments Support children with special needs by adapting activities and providing individualized attention as directed by teachers or specialists Maintain open communication with staff, parents, and guardians regarding student progress and behavior Previous experience working with children in educational, childcare, camp, or tutoring settings is preferred Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies Ability to handle emergency situations calmly; certification in first aid is a plus Familiarity with special education practices and childhood development principles Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, teachers, parents, and community members Enthusiastic about fostering a positive environment that supports early childhood education and social-emotional growth Reliable attendance record with the ability to work part-time hours during after-school hours or program sessions This role is perfect for motivated individuals passionate about working with children across various settings such as daycare, sports coaching, theater programs, babysitting services, or Christian counseling.
