Trinity Preschool is a ministry of Santa Barbara Community Church and our primary goal is to reflect the love of Christ to the families we serve both trough school curriculum and from their own walk with Christ. Trinity Preschool is a program based on supporting the whole family and therefore preschool staff must be sensitive, compassionate, mature individuals who are able to relate well to both children and adults.
Pay Range:
$20-25/hr depending on coursework, experience and ability
Qualifications:
Preferred 6 completed Early Childhood Education (ECE) units completed; however, applicants currently enrolled in 6 ECE units or willing to enroll will also be considered. o Must have taken 3 units in an infant specific course The person selected for this position must be professionally prepared as teacher support and must be able to meet the qualifications of the licensing agency. Must be willing to complete the following trainings through
Trinity:
o CPR/First Aid certification every two years o Mandated Reporter Training every year o Sexual Harassment Training every two years The person selected for this position will be responsible alongside a classroom teacher for the general supervision and management of a classroom of up to twelve students between the ages of 0 to 3 years old. This person agrees to follow through with all the job responsibilities listed below. Responsibilities of a Trinity Preschool Teacher's Aide will include but are not limited to: Work with the teacher's plan to help implement curriculum and supervise children; this includes prepping for crafts/activities, playing with the kids, and occasionally leading activities. Follow Infant Care Plans for each individual child Look for children on the fringe and bring them into play and group activities. Treat children with respect and dignity in both words and actions. Maintain a positive professional attitude that demonstrates love, kindness and willingness to hear or learn from others. Maintain classroom clean up- clean tables daily, shelves, and materials as needed and keep classroom in a neat, orderly appearance at all times. In conjunction with the teacher, swap classroom toys and books out often to keep the environment new and exciting. Participate in all staff meetings. Participate in parent meetings when asked. Be present for teacher in-service days and school events, as well as any scheduled professional development days or conferences. Able to utilize school iPads or other personal technology to create word documents, spreadsheets, etc. Message parents on Procare when the teacher is unable, as well as taking and posting photos daily. Assist with refilling waters, changing clothes, applying sunscreen and helping with all toileting needs, including changing diapers. Able to keep track of children's belongings and be aware when something is left behind. Shares responsibility of afternoon snack prep as well as nap room set up and tear down. Can perform physical tasks such as lift children ages 0-3 years, bending to their level, etc. Willing to assume an equal share of the joint housekeeping responsibilities to always upkeep the school's appearance and cleanliness.

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
