Job Summary Job Summary SPED Instructional Aide for the 2026-27 school year, with 1:1 and classroom support. Emphasis will be on positive behavior support. M-Th 8:45 AM - 12:45 PM Fri 8:45 AM - 12:15 PM Position Overview The Special Education Instructional Aide supports students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and helps create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. Working under the direction of the Classroom Teacher, Special Education staff, and school administrators, the Instructional Aide provides individualized and small-group support to help students access instruction, develop independence, and successfully participate in the school community. The Instructional Aide reinforces instruction and assists students within the classroom, specialized programs, and other learning environments. Responsibilities also include supporting classroom management, student supervision, and school-wide activities, including recess and lunch. The Instructional Aide assists with the preparation of instructional materials and provides consistent support aligned with each student's educational and behavioral needs. This position plays an important role in fostering student success, inclusion, independence, and a sense of belonging while working collaboratively with teachers and other members of the educational team.. The job will continue as long as the student remains at the school.
