In person About Limitless Academy Limitless Academy, Inc. is a Behavior Management Adult Day Program serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our program is designed to provide meaningful, person-centered services that promote independence, employment skills, community participation, personal choice, and skill development. Our attendees participate in hands-on programming that includes life skills, employment preparation, vocational training, community integration, physical education, creative arts, technology, digital media, social skills, and other individualized activities. Pay Structure Starting pay is based on DSP certification and qualifications: $22.00/hour

DSP I & DSP II
certified Position Summary The DSP Instructor works directly with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and provides supervision, instruction, support, and encouragement throughout the program day. This is an active, hands-on position. DSP Instructors are expected to engage attendees in meaningful activities rather than simply supervise them. DSP Instructors report directly to the Program Coordinator . Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide direct supervision, support, and instruction to attendees. Implement goals and objectives identified in Individual Program Plans (IPPs) and Individual Service Plans (ISPs). Facilitate structured individual and group activities. Teach and reinforce independent living and life skills. Support vocational skills and employment preparation. Support communication, socialization, self-advocacy, and community integration. Facilitate recreational, physical education, creative, and educational activities. Encourage attendee choice, independence, dignity, and self-determination. Assist attendees with activities of daily living as needed. Follow individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), when applicable. Utilize positive behavior support, redirection, verbal de-escalation, and other approved non-aversive strategies. Maintain appropriate supervision and ensure attendee health and safety. Complete accurate daily documentation, progress notes, attendance records, and required data collection. Promptly document and report incidents, injuries, behavioral concerns, and other significant events. Participate in community outings and community-based instruction. Assist with transportation and community activities when assigned and appropriately qualified. Maintain clean, organized, and safe instructional areas. Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development. Maintain attendee confidentiality and professional boundaries. Communicate professionally with the Program Coordinator, Program Director, coworkers, attendees, families, and other members of the attendee's support team. Perform other reasonable duties related to attendee services and program operations as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience working with adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities is preferred but not required for entry-level applicants. DSP I and/or DSP II certification is preferred and qualifies for higher starting pay. Must be dependable, professional, and able to work effectively as part of a team. Must have the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Must be able to complete required documentation accurately and on time. Must successfully obtain and maintain required DOJ/FBI criminal background clearance. Must meet applicable TB and health screening requirements. Must maintain current CPR and First Aid certification or obtain certification as required. Must complete required behavior management, positive behavior support, crisis prevention, and other required training. Valid California Driver's License and acceptable driving record required when assigned transportation duties. Schedule Limitless Academy operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM . DSP Instructor schedules include time before and/or after attendee program hours for preparation, documentation, cleaning, staff communication, and other assigned responsibilities. No overnight shifts. Specific work schedules will be established based on program staffing and attendee needs.
