Job Summary Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, assist a certificated teacher in reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of special education students in a classroom or other learning environment; assist in the preparation of instructional materials and implementation of instructional activities; perform related clerical and health care duties as assigned. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
An offer of employment in this classification is contingent upon passing a physical examination.
REQUIREMENTS
Complete at least 2 years of study, or 48 units at an institution of higher education (college level) OR Obtained an associate's (or higher) degree OR Met (pass) an assessment that demonstrates knowledge of and the ability to assist in teaching reading, writing, and mathematics OR reading, writing, and mathematics readiness. Designated positions within this classification may require a valid First Aid and CPR Certificate issued by an authorized agency, valid California Drivers License. All employment with the Tuolumne County Superintendent of Schools is contingent upon successful completion of all pre-employment requirements which includes but is not limited to fingerprinting, physical exam, and verification of negative tuberculosis.
