Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role as a paraprofessional supporting students in an educational setting near Suisun City, CA. This opportunity centers on providing 1:1 assistance to a student, covering a maternity leave assignment with potential for extension. The position begins as soon as possible and runs tentatively through December 22, 2026. Ideal candidates have experience working with children in school settings, demonstrate empathy and patience, and excel in supporting student growth and independence. Credentialed individuals will receive priority consideration for this placement.
Key Qualifications:
Prior experience as a paraprofessional or educational aide in a school environment Ability to build positive, supportive relationships with students Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers and staff Reliable, adaptable, and able to respond effectively to student needs Current relevant credentials strongly preferredMain Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one instructional and behavioral support to a designated student Assist with academic tasks, classroom participation, and social integration Implement individualized support strategies as directed by teaching staff and specialists Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning atmosphere Monitor and encourage student progress, documenting observations as needed Support transitions and activities throughout the school day You'll make a direct impact by helping students succeed in their educational journey.
