Summary We are seeking a passionate Special Education Paraprofessional to join our team in Newbury Park. In this vital role, you will support our educators in delivering tailored instruction and fostering a nurturing environment for students with diverse learning needs. Your contributions will be instrumental in helping our students thrive academically and socially. Responsibilities Assist teachers in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students. Support students with developmental disabilities and autism in classroom activities. Help manage classroom behavior and promote a positive learning atmosphere. Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to enhance student learning. Participate in the development of lesson plans and educational materials. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive approach to student support. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in special education preferred. Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs. Strong understanding of classroom management techniques. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Familiarity with IEP processes and special education regulations is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students' learning journeys.
