Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Paraprofessional / Paraeducator to join a school-based team in Watsonville, CA . The ideal candidate will support students with special education needs and work closely with teachers and school staff to help students succeed academically, socially, and behaviorally. Responsibilities Provide one-on-one and small-group support to students as directed by the classroom teacher or special education team. Assist students with academic activities, classroom assignments, and daily routines. Support students with behavioral, social, and emotional needs. Implement strategies and interventions outlined in students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Assist with classroom management and maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment. Support students during transitions, lunch, recess, and other school activities as needed. Monitor and document student progress and behavior when required. Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other school personnel. Maintain confidentiality regarding student information and records. Perform other duties as assigned by the school or supervising staff. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience working with children or students, preferably in a school or special education setting. Experience supporting students with disabilities is preferred.
Pay:
$23.00 - $27.00 per hour
