9687664-80421 Job Description A contract opportunity is available for a paraprofessional passionate about supporting student growth in a dynamic elementary school environment. This position offers the rewarding experience of working 1:1 with a kind-hearted 5th grade student with a cognitive disability, providing guidance, encouragement, and assistance throughout the school day.

Key Qualifications:

Previous experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting is highly valued Skilled at supporting students with cognitive disabilities or diverse learning needs Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families Demonstrated patience, empathy, and creativity when addressing student challenges Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold professionalism at all times High school diploma or equivalent required; additional relevant training or certification is a plus

Role Responsibilities:

Work closely with a single student, offering support in academic, social, and functional activities Implement strategies and accommodations outlined in the students learning plan under the direction of certified staff Monitor student engagement and participation, adapting support as needed to foster independence Provide encouragement, redirection, and positive reinforcement throughout the day Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and welcoming classroom environment Assist with data collection and communication to the instructional team
