Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic RBT/Paraeducator with school-based experience to join our team as a Floater. In this vital role, you will provide direct behavioral support and educational assistance to children with developmental disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum. Your primary focus will be implementing ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis) therapy protocols, assisting with daily living activities, and supporting classroom teachers to create a positive learning environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children while gaining valuable experience in special education and behavioral health. Responsibilities Assist students with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as feeding, dressing, and hygiene, ensuring comfort and independence. Collect and record behavioral data accurately to monitor progress and inform treatment plans. Implement individualized care plans and ABA therapy protocols under supervision, supporting children with autism spectrum disorders and other neurodevelopmental disabilities. Support classroom teachers by managing behavior, facilitating learning activities, and maintaining a structured environment. Engage in direct behavioral therapy sessions, applying behavior management techniques to promote positive behaviors. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members regarding progress, challenges, and goals while maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Document medical records, behavioral data collection, and progress notes clearly and professionally for ongoing review. Requirements Prior experience working with children in educational or behavioral health settings is required; school experience is highly preferred. Knowledge of special education practices, behavior management strategies, and ABA therapy implementation is essential. Familiarity with medical terminology, medical documentation, and HIPAA compliance is necessary for handling sensitive information. Demonstrated ability to assist with ADLs and support individuals with disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders effectively. Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorders or other developmental disabilities is strongly preferred. Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration are essential.
