Overview The Little School on Perry Street (TLS-Perry.com) is a family-owned and operated childcare center, expanding from a successful in-home program into a newly renovated commercial facility in the heart of Castle Rock. Our home is a historic building dating back to 1872, thoughtfully expanded and restored to honor its legacy while creating a warm, modern environment for children and educators alike. TLS is more than just a school—it's a launchpad for curiosity, connection, and lifelong learning. Our prime location offers direct access to Castle Rock's walkable downtown, allowing children to engage with their community through nature walks, visits to the fire department, story time at the local library, and more. We proudly implement Teaching Strategies®, a nationally recognized curriculum framework that supports whole-child development through play-based, intentional learning. Teachers are equipped with intuitive planning tools, observation resources, and developmental benchmarks that make lesson creation purposeful and personalized. The Little School on Perry is looking for a caring, dependable, and flexible Early Childhood Paraprofessional & Float Teacher to join our team. This is a school-wide support position for someone who loves working with young children and enjoys having variety in their day. You will work alongside our teachers, provide additional support to children who may need more individualized attention, and float between classrooms based on the needs of our school.
What You'll Do:
Provide additional one-on-one or small-group support to children as needed Help children with transitions, communication, social-emotional skills, classroom participation, and independence Work alongside teachers to provide consistent, positive behavior guidance and support Assist teachers with classroom routines, activities, curriculum, and daily care Float between classrooms to provide additional support Provide coverage for teacher breaks, planning time, meetings, and absences Assist with meals, toileting/diapering, rest time, outdoor play, and classroom transitions Help maintain clean, organized, safe, and engaging classrooms Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers We're Looking for
Someone Who Is:
Patient, nurturing, and genuinely enjoys working with children Dependable and able to take initiative Flexible and comfortable working in different classrooms and with different age groups A positive team player who is willing to jump in wherever needed Comfortable supporting children with different developmental, behavioral, and emotional needs Able to communicate professionally and work collaboratively with teachers and administration Motivated and accepts challenges while always looking to improve Maintains a clean and organized work environment, and upholds professional standards in both conduct and attire that reflect the high quality of our center. Previous experience in early childhood education, childcare, special education, behavioral support, or as a paraprofessional/teacher assistant is preferred. Candidates must be able to meet all Colorado childcare licensing, training, and background-check requirements. Why Join TLS?
