Job description: Assistant Teacher at Little Peaks Learning Center in our
Infant and Toddler Pay:
$19.00- $23.
Duties:
Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, and social skills development. Curriculum is based around universal STEM guidelines. Support classroom management by maintaining a positive environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and respectful interactions among children Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, emotional, and physical growth Help with routine childcare tasks such as supervising playtime, snack time, nap time, and bathroom routines Foster inclusive learning by working effectively with children with disabilities or special needs, including those on the autism spectrum Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on children's progress and behavior Support behavior management strategies to ensure a safe and nurturing classroom atmosphere Collaborate with team members to plan educational activities that incorporate Montessori or other child-centered teaching philosophiesRequirements:
Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members Ability to manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques Familiarity with literacy education, math concepts, and tutoring methods suitable for early learners Demonstrated ability to proofread and review educational materials for accuracy and clarity Passion for mentoring and working with children to foster their growth and confidence All courses and licensing to be completed prior to employment date.Job Type:
