Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students as a dedicated paraprofessional in a vibrant educational environment near Englewood, CO. This position offers several available placements within elementary and high school settings, with assignments ranging from 26.25 to 37.5 hours per week. Exact caseloads and building locations will be determined upon school assignment, so adaptability and openness to work with varying age groups are essential. To be considered, candidates must provide 2 completed professional RefAssured references when presented for consideration—applications without references cannot be reviewed.
Desired Experience & Requirements:
Minimum of 1 full year working in SPED classrooms; direct experience with significant/severe caseloads is highly preferred. Proven flexibility and willingness to be reassigned between schools or work with different age groups as needed. Ability to reliably commute—personal vehicle required (rideshares or public transportation do not meet district requirements). Willingness and physical capability to support students with toileting and diapering, if required. Must be able to report to work at 7:40am for elementary assignments or 8:00am for middle/high school roles. Immediate fingerprinting required upon offer acceptance per district policy; any felony or misdemeanor charges result in disqualification.

Provide educational, behavioral, and personal care support to students, including those with significant needs. Assist classroom teachers with instructional activities, classroom management, and specialized student support. Foster a supportive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment.
