ASSISTANT INFANT TEACHER JOB DESCRIPTION

Through intentional play-based activities, we strive to help children develop a love for learning and a strong foundation of faith that will guide them throughout their lives. How you can help foster learning and faith: ECA is seeking an Assistant Infant Teacher to join the Infant Classroom Team. The Assistant Infant Teacher will report to and support the Head Infant Room Supervisor in overseeing the Infant Room. The core function of this role at our educational establishment is to care for the physical and emotional needs of our classroom children, while introducing developmentally appropriate concepts for activities in accordance with Academic Curriculum and Christian Curriculum as directed by ECA and in adherence with Colorado State Early Childhood Standards. The right candidate will keenly understand how both nurturing and organization contribute to success in this role. The Assistant Infant Teacher will be a thought partner and team player in enriching and supporting the young children of ECA.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

The core function of this role at our educational establishment is to support our Head Infant Room Supervisor with caring for the physical and emotional needs of our classroom children, while introducing developmentally appropriate concepts in accordance with Academic Curriculum and Christian Curriculum as directed by ECA and in adherence with Colorado Childcare Licensing Rules and Regulations; Support with planning and implementing developmentally appropriate educational activities for children in accordance with Academic Curriculum and Christian Curriculum as directed by ECA and in adherence with Colorado Childcare Licensing Rules and Regulations; Collaborating with other ECA teachers and staff; Communicating effectively with parents and guardians using ECA's Communication Platform; Attend and participate in performances held by ECA students; Maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment both indoors and outdoors; Knowing and following ECA's Policies and Procedures; and Other duties as assigned by our Head Infant Room Supervisor, Assistant Director and Head of School.

Licensing Rules, Regulations and Health Department Requirements:

This role is responsible for ensuring that the environment is clean, safe, and healthy. The daily cleaning duties that are required based on licensing rules and regulations as well as health department requirements: Cleaning and disinfecting surfaces: All surfaces that children come into contact with should be cleaned and disinfected multiple times throughout the day, including at the end of the day after the last child has left for the day. This includes tables, chairs, toys, and other equipment. Use a disinfectant solution that is approved by the health department.

Cleaning and sanitizing toys:

Toys should be cleaned and sanitized weekly.

Use a disinfectant solution to clean and sanitize toys, and make sure to dry them thoroughly before returning them to the play area. This role is responsible for knowing Licensing Rules and Regulations and following these guidelines at all times. • All ECA employees must successfully complete all licensing requirements of Employee's position pursuant to the Colorado Department of Early Childhood, including their required background check. Compensation & Benefits:

Hourly Rate Range:

$18-$23/hour depending on experience. 32 Hours of Paid Time Off that starts accruing on your first day of employment. 48 Hours of Paid Sick Leave that starts accruing on your first day of employment.

Holiday Pay:

Is given at a rate of 8 hours per holiday.

Childcare Benefits:

Employees will receive a discounted rate depending on the number of hours worked. This is subject to available childcare openings. Staff members' children will get priority enrollment.

Health Care Benefits:

These include medical, dental, and vision through Kaiser. Our health insurance plan covers all- medical/vision/dental. Employer covers 50% of the medical benefits for employees only. Option to enroll in Colorado's Secure Savings program to contribute to your own Roth Individual Retirement Account (IRA).
