A paraprofessional is needed to work closely with a wonderful 5th-grade student with a cognitive disability, providing vital assistance throughout the school day. This position is conveniently located in a friendly and supportive learning community near Evergreen, CO, offering a rewarding week with Fridays always off.

Schedule:

Monday through Thursday, four-day school week

Hours:

7:45 am 3:45 pm, providing consistency and work-life balance

Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored, one-on-one support to an elementary student with a cognitive disability Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement classroom activities and individualized education plans Help foster a positive, inclusive environment where every child can thrive Assist with classroom management and daily routines Maintain accurate records, communicate clearly with the instructional team, and support the students academic and social growth

Desired Skills & Experience:

Experience as a paraprofessional, educational assistant, or similar supportive role in schools Passion for working with children with special needs, especially those with cognitive disabilities Ability to communicate effectively, show empathy, and display patience Team player with organizational skills and a dependable work ethic Flexibility and adaptability to meet evolving classroom and student needs This contract role offers meaningful, hands-on experience in special education with a schedule that allows for a long weekend, every weekend.
