What You Bring:
Experience or education as a paraprofessional in school settings Familiarity with supporting students with significant support needs is highly valued Ability to communicate with educators, students, and families in a positive, professional manner Flexibility and patience when adapting to students varying needs and classroom routines Strong sense of responsibility and reliability Collaborative attitudeworks well as part of a team dedicated to student success
What You'll Do:
Assist with the academic, behavioral, and physical support of 6th-8th grade students in a specialized classroom Work under the direction of licensed classroom teachers to deliver instructional and adaptive activities Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) under staff supervision Support students during classroom transitions and activities throughout the school day Foster a caring, inclusive, and productive classroom environment Communicate regularly with teachers and school staff about student progress and needs This contract position runs immediately through May 28, with a schedule of Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:40 am to 3:50 pm, and Wednesday from 9:40 am to 3:50 pm, for a total of 35 hours per week.
