Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Take the next step in your career supporting young adults within a highly collaborative educational setting! A welcoming school environment near Littleton, CO is searching for a dedicated professional to serve in a contract position as a Paraprofessional, beginning August 11 and continuing through May 21, 2027. This role focuses on assisting students ages 18-21+ with significant needs, providing meaningful support in both academic and community-based activities.
What We're Looking For:
Strong background in behavioral support, ideally within a school environment Prior experience with significant/severe caseloads Comfort and skill working with young adults who have disabilities Previous use of communication devices is preferred Ability to provide assistance with toileting and diapering as needed Reliable transportation to ensure timely 8:00am starts (public transport not considered reliable) Willingness to promptly complete required fingerprinting/background checks; any charges will result in disqualification Submission of 2 completed professional RefAssured references with your application is required Please include your current location in your application materials
What You'll Do:
Deliver direct support to students across classroom and community environments Implement consistent behavioral interventions and positive reinforcement strategies Scaffold daily living and vocational skills to help young adults pursue independence Assist with communication supports and augmentative devices for nonverbal students Maintain documentation as required and communicate proactively with licensed staff If you are dedicated to fostering growth in a community-centered transition program and meet the criteria above, this is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact!
