$16.00 - $28.00 per hour Reports to: Building Principal Job ID#: 1537Job Description:
- This position requires a solid understanding and ability to demonstrate reading, writing, and math skills
- Support students within the ELL Program with academics
- The ability to take advice regarding ways of helping students meet his/her IEP goals is essential to this position.
- This position requires a caring, focused, and responsible disposition while working closely with a small number of Severe Needs students.
- Day-to-day duties will include small-group teaching, 1-on-1 pull-out and in-class support as it pertains to specific student needs.
- Work with ELL teacher to appropriately modify assignments as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-year associate's degree or 2 years of verifiable college course work (48 semester hours) OR the ability to successfully pass the WorkKeys proficiency test
- Ability to become CPI Restraint Trained
- Preference given to individuals who are bilingual and have taken classes in education and/or successfully demonstrated their ability to work with young children.
- Ability to lift 30 lbs.
- Valid Colorado Driver's License
