Full Job Description Job Summary:

The Elementary Paraprofessional provides direct, day-to-day instructional and behavior support in our elementary classroom to help students access learning, maintain safety and participate successfully in the school environment in a small facility school setting under the supervision of the classroom teacher and multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Provide 1:1 and/or small group instructional support in academic lessons by implementing teacher directed lessons, activities, and materials Support student learning by modifying assignments and tasks as directed to meet individual needs Assist with structured leisure and social skill activities, actively engaging with students to model appropriate participation, communication, and interaction Implement behavior support strategies in alignment with established behavior intervention plans, including modeling functional communication, offering choices, and using proactive redirection techniques Collaborate with teachers and related service providers to ensure consistent implementation of instructional and behavioral supports. Schedule and Collaboration Expectations Support program operations before (7:30-8:30am) and after (3-4pm) the student day in alignment with the assigned work schedule. Provides direct classroom/student support during the school day from 8:30-3pm. Assist with student daily data collection entry and review of data , as directed by the classroom teacher and BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) Prepare instructional and classroom materials to support daily programming under teacher guidance Participate in scheduled student progress reviews and classroom team meetings Attend and actively engage in multidisciplinary collaboration and trainings , including Occupational Therapy, Speech Language Pathology, and Mental Health services, as scheduled

• Maintain positive, collaborative communication with the classroom team to support consistency and continuity of multidisciplinary team recommended supports

• High School Diploma or equivalent o Relevant college degree or coursework preferred
• Minimum 1 year experience working directly with children of any/all abilities
• 6+ months' experience with ABA and children with developmental disabilities
• Must pass a full criminal background check and professional reference checks Preferred Qualifications
• Working knowledge of the standard concepts, practices, and procedures related to behavior analysis
• Experience as a behavior technician or paraprofessional in a school setting preferred
• Experience implementing crisis response protocols
• Valid CPR, First Aid, and/or BLS certification

Requirements Once Hired:

• Completed of Safety-Care crisis prevention training within the first 90 days of employment
• Mandatory Reporter certification, or completion of Mandatory Reporters of Child Abuse & Neglect training within 1 week of employment
