9655829-80003 Job Description If you have a strong background supporting young adults with disabilities and experience managing significant behavioral caseloads, an exciting contract opportunity awaits you near Arvada, CO. Youll play a vital role in Transition Services, empowering students ages 18-21+ in school and community settings. This position runs from August 11 to May 21, 2027, offering a chance to profoundly impact students as they build skills for independence.

Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Demonstrated experience as a paraprofessional, particularly within school environments. Deep understanding and hands-on experience with severe behavioral needs.

Preferred:

Experience with significant or severe student caseloads and familiarity with communication devices (augmentative/alternative communication). A proven history of working with young adults with disabilities in community-based settings. Willingness and ability to assist with toileting and diapering as needed. Reliable transportation to ensure punctual arrival by 8:00am (public options such as bus or rideshare do not qualify). Ability to secure fingerprinting clearance upon offer; any misdemeanors or felonies are disqualifying.

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide direct behavioral and instructional support to students in diverse community and classroom environments. Implement individualized programs and behavioral interventions. Utilize and support communication devices as necessary. Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and transition specialists to meet each students unique needs. Support with personal care, including assistance with toileting/diapering tasks as needed.
