Role Description The Assistant Piano After-School Teacher is a part-time, on-site role based in Denver, CO. This role supports lead instructors in delivering piano lessons using the Sound Formation® Method in an after-school setting. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with lesson preparation, helping students with piano technique and music reading, reinforcing rhythm and music theory concepts, and guiding small groups or individual learners during practice time. The role also involves monitoring classroom behavior, maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment, communicating with the lead teacher and program coordinators, and ensuring instruments and materials are set up and cared for before and after sessions. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong music performance skills, including at least an intermediate level of proficiency. Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Music Theory to reinforce concepts such as rhythm, harmony, and notation during instruction. Candidates should have a willingness to work with students in grades K-5. Formal study in music (coursework, degree, or equivalent experience) and openness to training in the Sound Formation® Method are highly valued. Current college students are encouraged to apply.
