A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

The Rehabilitation Center of Sandalwood is seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time SLP to join our dynamic team. You will be part of a dedicated, leadership-driven team that is fully committed to the success of the facility. We provide unwavering support throughout your professional journey to ensure your continued growth and success. The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for providing rehabilitative therapy to patients upon referral for communication, cognitive and/or swallowing disorders following all regulatory and clinical practice requirements. This includes recovery, improvement in function and when possible, a return to a prior level of functioning. Clinical documentation will describe objective measures and justification for continued or discontinued services.
Educational Requirements:

Must be licensed with applicable state One year's experience in long-term care or related setting preferred
