Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact while working closely with students in need of extra support. This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to serve as a dedicated Behavior Technician in a dynamic educational environment, providing vital assistance to students on the Autism Spectrum and those facing behavioral challenges. Days run from 8am to 3pm, totaling 31 hours per week, giving you the flexibility to balance professional and personal commitments.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential, or relevant paraprofessional certification Minimum of 2 years experience working with students requiring behavioral or special education support Familiarity with ABA principles and strategies for supporting learners with autism or behavioral needs Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to work as a positive team member Compassionate, patient, and adaptable in fast-paced classroom settings
Role and Responsibilities:
Deliver one-on-one and classroom-based behavioral support to students, helping them succeed academically and socially Collaborate with educators and specialists to implement individualized education and behavior intervention plans Collect data, track student progress, and contribute to team meetings regarding student goals Support safe learning environments by modeling positive behaviors and reinforcing coping strategies Participate in staff training and development to stay current on best practices Enjoy competitive compensation of $18-24 per hour, alongside valuable benefits including comprehensive insurance coverage and a 401k retirement plan.
