Job Description
Child Care Center Teaching Assistant. Candidate will work with other staff members to provide the educational, social, physical needs of children ages 6 weeks to 10 years. Ability to lift up to 50lbs and documentation from physician that the person has no medical or emotional illness or disorder that would currently pose a risk to children in their care or would interfere with or jeopardize a caregiver's ability to render proper care for the children in the child care facility is required. The Connecticut Office of Early Childhood requires background checks of all persons working in a licensed child care program. Prior work experience in a similar center based child care program and or college level coursework in early childhood education is required.
