Multiple contract opportunities are available for skilled Paraprofessionals to provide essential classroom support throughout the 26/27 school year. Work onsite in self-contained Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) classrooms serving grades K-3, with class groupings in K-1 and 2-3. This is a full-time position, creating a rewarding environment where youll help foster growth, learning, and independence in young learners.

Qualifications & Experience:

Valid Connecticut Paraprofessional Certificate (CT Para Cert) required Previous experience as a Paraprofessional in educational settings preferred Understanding of or interest in supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder Comfortable assisting with toileting and personal care as needed Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and school staff Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient approach

Responsibilities:

Support classroom routines and activities tailored for students with special needs Assist with instructional tasks, individualized learning plans, and adaptive materials Provide one-on-one or small group support to foster student engagement and participation Aid in implementing behavior intervention and improvement strategies under teacher direction Attend to daily needs, including toileting and personal hygiene, with professionalism and respect Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive educational environment
