NOTICE OF VACANCY POSITION

Paraeducator Long Term Substitute, Special Education - Part-Time, Temporary (Non-Union Position) Naubuc Elementary School The location of your assignment is subject to change based on student needs in the district.

WAGES:

$21.87 per hour

SCHEDULE

18 hours per week

DUTIES:

Responsible for the support of students receiving special education services in a variety of settings. Duties may include supporting students with academic work and attention to task; implementing behavior intervention plans; facilitating social interaction with peers. Assists students in self-care areas as needed, including but not limited to personal hygiene, toileting, feeding, dressing, mobility and lifting. Performs related duties as required or as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to relate well to students with disabilities, to follow a schedule with flexibility to changes. Must be able to assist students in self-care areas which may include lifting. Good communication skills are required. Previous experience working with students with a variety of disabilities preferred, including but not limited to students with autism.
