  • Near Blackheath, Greenwich| Immediate start| £145 per day | Long term for entire academic year A welcoming secondary school near Blackheath is seeking a dedicated British Sign Language (BSL) Level 2 or 3 qualified, to support students within its well-established Deaf Unit.
This British Sign Language Teaching Assistant is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a supportive school environment. About this British Sign Language Teaching Assistant Role Support Deaf students across KS3-KS4 (1:1 and small groups) Use BSL to aid communication and access to learning Work within mainstream lessons as well as the specialist Deaf Unit Assist with adapting learning materials and supporting teaching staff Promote inclusion, independence, and positive engagement This reputable and inclusive school is Looking For BSL Level 2 or 3 (essential) School-based or child-related experience (essential) A calm, patient and proactive approach Experience with Deaf students or SEN is an advantage A genuine passion for supporting young people What You'll Receive A supportive team in a well-resourced Deaf Unit Ongoing training and development £145 per day, paid weekly Dedicated consultant support throughout the placement With easy Southeastern train links and parking for those that drive, If you have BSL skills, experience working with children, and are available with immediate affect, we'd love to hear from you.
