Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Take your experience as a Paraprofessional to the next level in a supportive educational environment near Naugatuck, CT! Exciting contract opportunities are now open for Paraeducators seeking meaningful, hands-on work with students. You'll play a vital role both as a 1:1 support and within classroom settings, collaborating closely with lead teachers and supervisors. This position offers an impactful daily experience as you help shape the learning journey for special education students, ensuring their needs are met in alignment with their PPT and IEP plans.
Key Qualifications:
Prior experience as a paraprofessional or directly related background Parapro Certification OR an Associate's degree (or 60 earned college credits) or higher Comfortable assisting students with toileting, as needed Strong communication and teamwork abilities Compassionate, patient approach to working with students of varying abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support and assist within classroom settings under the guidance of lead teachers and supervisors Supervise and encourage students throughout instructional activities and routines Support execution of individualized education programs (IEPs) and participate in activities outlined by the student's planning and placement team (PPT) Assist students with personal care and toileting needs as required Foster a supportive, engaging, and inclusive environment for all learners Enjoy the advantages of competitive hourly pay, ranging from $18 to $24 per hour for your dedication and expertise.
