This role is ideal for professionals eager to collaborate with educators, provide meaningful classroom assistance, and help students achieve their fullest potential.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Previous experience as a paraprofessional or similar role in schools preferred Ability to work one-on-one and in small group settings with students of diverse backgrounds and learning needs Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, staff, and students Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude in a dynamic classroom environment High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or a relevant certificate is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
Provide instructional, behavioral, and personal support to students as directed by classroom teachers and special education staff Assist with classroom organization, preparation of materials, and daily activities Support the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and accommodation strategies Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages student engagement and success Assist with arrival, dismissal, and transitions throughout the school day Maintain a safe and respectful atmosphere in accordance with school policies This contract role offers the opportunity to make a tangible difference in students' day-to-day lives and to develop valuable experience within the educational field.
