Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into an important role supporting young learners as a contract paraprofessional for K-2 classrooms. This opportunity is tailored for professionals with a passion for working with students in the early grades, specifically those who are nonverbal or on the autism spectrum. Your commitment will make an immediate, positive impact on the educational journey of these children.
Key Qualifications:
Prior experience as a paraprofessional within school settings is highly valued Strong understanding of early childhood development, especially with K-2 students Demonstrated ability to work compassionately with nonverbal and autistic children Patience, empathy, and top-notch communication and observational skills Flexibility and adaptability to meet the unique needs of each student
Responsibilities:
Provide direct classroom assistance under the direction of certified educators Offer individualized support for nonverbal and autistic students to encourage participation Implement strategies and accommodations outlined in each student's education plan Foster an inclusive, supportive, and safe learning environment Assist with instructional activities, behavior management, and daily routines Collaborate consistently with teachers, therapists, and families This contract position offers you the chance to contribute in a meaningful and hands-on way, supporting children in reaching new milestones.
