Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting middle school students as a dedicated paraprofessional. Work one-on-one with students who have moderate needs in a dynamic educational environment. This full-time position offers 35 hours per week and the chance to make a direct impact on individual student growth and success.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years' experience as a paraprofessional or behavior technician in an educational setting Experience supporting middle school-aged students strongly preferred Ability to work effectively one-on-one with students requiring moderate support Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with teachers, therapists, and staff Reliable, patient, and committed to fostering student independence Must meet any state and school-specific credentials for paraprofessionals
Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one assistance to a middle school student with a moderate caseload Support daily classroom activities and reinforce learning under teacher direction Assist with behavioral interventions and help implement individualized behavior plans Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment Document student progress and communicate regularly with instructional teams Adapt to varied tasks and routines necessary for student success This contract role combines structure with meaningful daily variety, allowing you to grow professionally while helping students build confidence and skills.
