Make a real impact supporting students as a dedicated Paraprofessional on a contract basis this fall. This onsite opportunity spans from October 1st to November 30th, with the strong likelihood of an extension. Work closely with an individual student to help foster social emotional and behavioral growth in a supportive school environment located near New Britain, CT. In this vital role, youll collaborate with teachers, counselors, and staff to ensure the students needs are met in a positive, structured setting. Your contributions will not only support the students daily success but will also help build foundational skills for their future.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Previous experience working as a paraprofessional in a school or child guidance setting preferred Familiarity with social emotional and behavioral support strategies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Patience, empathy, and adaptability when working one-on-one with students Ability to collaborate effectively with teaching teams Strong organizational skills and consistent reliability High school diploma or equivalent required

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct 1:1 support to a student with social emotional and behavioral needs Assist in implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans Facilitate daily classroom participation and activities Offer encouragement and positive reinforcement Document student progress and communicate observations to the educational team Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for learning This contract role provides a stable weekday scheduleMonday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and Wednesdays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PMgiving you the consistency to balance your professional and personal commitments.
