About This Role The Day Care Center of New Canaan is hiring school-age assistants. We follow the New Canaan Public School calendar and are offering part-time work on regular school days and full-time hours on vacation days, holidays, and summer. Applicants must be 16 years or older and enjoy working with school-age children as part of a teaching team. Perfect for high school juniors or seniors or someone attending a local college.
Hours:
Monday-Friday 2:30-5:30 (regular school days) 12:00-5:30 (on half days) 9:30-5:30 (vacation, holidays, and summer) On full days there is a one hour unpaid lunch break Wages are hourly and will be determined by applicant's level of experience. What You'll Do Be able to work as a member of our teaching team Assist in implementation of daily planned activities Be courteous and professional Maintain a positive attitude when communicating with children and families Complete 5 hours of continuing education annually Yearly epipen and first aid training (center will cover the cost) CPR training every two years (center will cover the cost) Requirements Experience working with school-age children Flexible and dependable
