Job Description

Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a part time daycare assistant. In this energetic role, you will play a crucial part in creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for young children during afternoon hours. Your enthusiasm and dedication will inspire children's growth, support their developmental milestones, and foster a love for learning. This paid position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in children's lives while working alongside passionate educators committed to early childhood development. Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development for preschool and toddler-aged children Supervise children during playtime, meals, nap times, and outdoor activities to ensure safety and engagement Support classroom management by maintaining a positive environment that encourages good behavior and cooperation among children Collaborate with lead teacher to monitor each child's progress and address individual needs, including those with special education requirements or disabilities Administer basic first aid when necessary and follow health and safety protocols diligently Communicate effectively Maintain cleanliness of the classroom and ensure all materials are organized and ready for daily use Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings, including classroom experience with toddlers or infants Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Ability to manage classroom behavior with patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement techniques First aid certification and knowledge of emergency procedures to ensure child safety at all times Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and engaging with parents effectively Familiarity with caregiving roles such as babysitting or nannying that involve nurturing young children Ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a busy daycare environment while maintaining a lively, supportive atmosphere Join us in shaping bright futures!
